OFYR CLASSIC STORAGE
The Classic Storage fire pit combines the timeless style and simplicity of the classic Ofyr with practical wood storage. This means you can easily add more wood with one handle at any time while grilling. The beautiful grill stove, made from weatherproof patinated rust-brown Corten steel or matt black powder-coated steel, is designed to blend perfectly into any environment, even when not in use. And the material is very easy to care for, making it ideal for larger families or lovers of social evenings with friends. At the same time, it is a must-have for design lovers with a preference for natural materials. When the wood fire is lit in it, the Ofyr turns every outdoor event into an experience.
It is available in diameters of 85 cm and 100 cm.
Good to know:
A spatula with a metal handle is included with every Ofyr grill. Other accessories/logs shown in the photos are not included - you can of course order the desired accessories separately at any time!

The optimal use of your OFYR
For optimal use, it is best to follow the product videos with usage tips for the OFYR and carefully choose the location of your stove. Some patio coverings are sensitive to the oil drops or splashes that are inevitable when grilling. Others are due to erosion of the Corten steel, whose protective patina develops further under the influence of weathering.
Tip : Choose the right firewood!
To get the best results when grilling, it is also important to have the right firewood: Only use dry wood - a slow-burning hardwood such as beech or ash is ideal. Tropical wood burns too hot and can possibly damage the cooking plate. Wet wood is difficult to light and creates unnecessary smoke. Do not use logs that are too large so that air can circulate well and always stack with the bark facing upwards. Ideally, as in the video, the wood is stacked in a block shape and lit in the middle. This allows oxygen to circulate optimally. By the way, the Buffadoo makes lighting a fire much easier and also keeps the first smoke down.
Cleaning and maintenance
All parts of the OFYRS are made of high quality solid steel. Its heavy weight makes it stable and can be used outside all year round - even for winter grilling. Like most other grills, it does not have to be stored during the cold season, but remains an attractive eye-catcher in the winter garden.
The OFYR lid prevents rain, snow or leaves from getting into the fire bowl. Otherwise, the cone should be emptied regularly to prevent additional rust from constantly moist wood or leaves inside the fire bowl.
Please NEVER place the coated black lid on a grill that is still hot - this could lead to deformation or damage to the coating and thus rust.
The grill surface is easy to keep clean: Forget cleaning like with classic grills. After you've finished grilling, it's enough to use the spatula to move the small remains on the plate into the embers. After cooling down, the plate only needs to be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Oiling helps protect against corrosion!
Tip: To ensure that the fire ring lasts for a long time while grilling, it must be burned in before it is used for the first time.
This creates a patina that protects the plate from rust and corrosion and the food from burning! In addition, baking before first use removes traces of production residues. The best method is seasoning with oil (the previously common method of seasoning with potatoes is now strongly discouraged): Heat-resistant vegetable oil is spread on the clean grill using a kitchen towel. The grill is then heated strongly for several hours until a black patina is created. During the burning process, the plate is rubbed again and again with oil. Please never clean the grill with detergent! This removes the patina, so the grill surface needs to be seasoned again! After cleaning with the spatula, wash the grill surface with a damp cloth and oil it again with a cloth until the next use.
If cared for properly, the grill plate shouldn't actually develop any rust, but if rust spots do appear there, there's no reason to worry: depending on the thickness, carefully remove the rust with a scourer or with a metal polisher on the drill, burn it again and use it after use It's best to re-oil the plate when it's slightly warm! Then you will enjoy your OFYR for many years!
